The MLK Writing Contest Celebration brought together students, educators, and community members to reflect on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s teachings of equality, justice and nonviolence.
The annual award honors a member of the OHIO Chillicothe or Ross County communities who has made significant contributions in supporting, raising awareness, and/or promoting women and gender issues.
Dr. Rohall’s tenure has been marked by transformative accomplishments that have enriched the campus and the surrounding community. His leadership has helped establish ɫߣߣ×ۺϵ¼º½ Eastern as a cultural and academic hub in the region.
The Student Social Work Association at ɫߣߣ×ۺϵ¼º½ Southern will receive the Emerging Leader Award for its work in supporting unhoused populations and promoting social justice.

The Legacy Awards honor local leaders, students, and groups for their contributions to service, advocacy, and inclusivity. The ceremony is set for Jan. 28, 2025, at ɫߣߣ×ۺϵ¼º½ Southern.
