Graduate Drop, Withdraw & Re-Enroll

Drop or Withdrawal

Prior to dropping a course or requesting to withdraw from the semester, you should contact your graduate student specialist to understand deadlines and considerations specific to your courses. There may be financial or course rotation and sequencing implications for dropping course(s) and withdraw, therefore, we encourage you to reach out to your graduate student specialist and any funding source used (e.g. Financial Aid, Veterans Services, Employer) prior to dropping any courses or withdrawing from the semester. If you are not assigned a graduate student specialist, you may contact onlinegraduateadvising@ohio.edu

If you need to drop your last course, contact your graduate student specialist to discuss the withdrawal process. There may be financial or course rotation and sequencing implications for dropping course(s), therefore, we encourage you to reach out to your graduate student specialist and any funding source used (e.g. Financial Aid, Veterans Services, Employer) prior to dropping any courses.

Re-enrolling

You must be a current ɫߣߣ×ۺϵ¼º½ student to register. Stopping out for a fall or spring semester will require you to reenroll.  If you are a re-enrolling student who wants to return, please see the re-enrolling information on the Graduate College website and complete the re-enrollment form.

Please note that graduate students have a time limit to complete master’s and doctoral degree requirements. You are welcome to email us for assistance at onlinegraduateadvising@ohio.edu and we will confirm your ability to re-enroll with the Graduate College.

Student Tuition Appeals and Late Drops

Information for student tuition appeals and late drops can be found on the Executive Vice President and Provost’s website. We recommend working closely with your graduate student specialist who can help support the appeals process. If you are not assigned a graduate student specialist, you may contact onlinegraduateadvising@ohio.edu.
